WELCOME TO THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION OF CEDAR RIDGE
Cedar Ridge is a residential community of single-family owner-occupied homes. We are located in the Northland within the city limits of Kansas City in Clay County, Missouri. You can find us south of Highway 152 and west of Highway 169.
We are conveniently located minutes away from downtown Kansas City, Zona Rosa, or the Kansas City International Airport (MCI). Cedar Ridge offers the luxury of being near activities that a city can provide, such as schools, a community college, parks, golf courses, shopping, recreation, and restaurants, while enjoying nature such as might be seen living in the country.
When you combine all this, as well as enjoying a neighborhood pool in the summertime, it’s no surprise many families choose Cedar Ridge to live and raise their family.
Cedar Ridge is fortunate to be a part of the Platte County R-III school district, the home of the Pirates. The school district has been recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a “High Performing” district, the highest level of academic recognition given in the state of Missouri. They have over a 95% attendance rate for their students, and score above the state and national ACT scores annually and holds 14 Missouri State Championships in athletics and their fine arts programs have been recognized over the past 10 years.
For the children that are in Kindergarten through 4th grade, they will attend Pathfinder Elementary. Allowing the mentoring help of the older students with the younger students is a bonus luxury that most schools don’t have.
Those who have graduated the 4th grade will attend Barry Middle School. The Barry Campus can accommodate students on a top grade education.
Those who have graduated from 8th grade will attend the recently rennovated Platte County High School. Students who attend PCHS have a host of after school activies to choose from ranging from Football to Golf, Choir to Band, Debate to Robotics.
In 2017, Two PCHS’s students on the Robotics team made it to the first World Robotics Competition and finished in second place, The PCHS Football Team captured the title “District Champions”, Five students in Band performed with the All State Ensemble in January 2018, and 27 members of the Choir were selected as 2017 Northwest Missouri All-District Choir. There are far more accolades than can be mentioned here. The faculty at this school look to teach your children to be the best they can, and strive for nothing less.
